Thank you so much for allowing me to put Lets Paint on hold here for a while so I could spend more time with my husband who is terminally ill. I remember thinking last fall that he wouldn’t be here for thanksgiving and here it is August. God has allow him to still be here with us. It has been a very hard journey but one with many blessings. The Lord has shown me many things, I have grown closer to Him and learned to listen to Him better. For that I am eternally grateful.

Personally, it was very hard to cancel most of our 4H travel classes this summer. This is the second summer we haven’t had Sioux Falls classes here at the studio. So Lets Paint had pretty much come to a halt! After tax season my energy level was so low I figured that we’d just have to wait until God called Dave home to do anything.

But I want to share what has been happening the last month or so. I had been contacted by Family Fest here in Sioux Falls about having a booth at their festival this year, like way back in January. I kept stalling them because of my situation. I even said no finally, and was just going to run an advertisement in their magazine. On the final day to get them an ad, I found myself with a surge of energy “why not do the booth” and what a good way to get students started for the Sioux Falls classes. Well I truly believe God’s forces where behind this because as we approached last Saturday I kept thinking I didn’t have the energy and resources to pull it off. But we did!!!!

Thank you to several close friends(I think they had wings) we set up in the horrible heat and had kids painting from 10am to 5pm pretty much nonstop. We did a little make it take it of a winter scene and went through about 130 boards. We have a whole stack of new contacts who want to paint.

In preparation for Family Fest we set up some classes before school starts so that we all can have a chance to paint before the summer is over. I will be doing two sessions the next two Tuesdays. I have attached the flyer. The afternoon sessions are paintings we have never done in the Sioux Falls studio before.

We will also be doing classes on Saturday Sept 10th and October 8th more information will be coming on those but mark the dates and any input on times for Saturdays will be helpful.

Our website took a change during this down time and although it is there it is not very complete. That also will be changing and hopefully more information available. Marsha has also posted a few times on letspaintrunaways face book page so feel free to link to us there as well.

Although my husband’s situation is still a very big issue in our lives, I am resting in the fact that it’s truly Gods timing when He calls him home. Meanwhile I know in my heart that the Lord is bringing me back to Let’s Paint. Thanks for letting me share the personal side of why the timing is now. Your prayers and support have been so appreciated. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and having the studio buzzing again.
